Dr. Musa has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 30 years. She is originally from the Chicago’s northwest suburbs but has been living in southern California since 2007 thanks to a job transfer offered to her husband on a snowy day in January.
Dr. Musa has been married to her husband for 32 years and has two young adult children. She adores her arguably favorite child, a 13 year old poodle/terrier mix named Skye. She also has a personal lap warmer that comes in the form of a 12.5 year old, orange and white tabby domestic short hair cat named Ninja.
Christal is a Southern California native and enjoys doing all the activities that SoCal has to offer. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2008 and received her RVT license in 2012. Since then, she has worked in many different hospital settings from private to corporate, in both emergency and general practice. Christal has also worked in education and thrives on teaching others and fostering growth.
Christal is also a certified Reiki Master and has certifications in both Crystal and Animal Reiki. She believes strongly in a pet’s ability to sense different energy and is conscientious about that in her work as an RVT.
Christal considers herself a foodie and will go to great lengths to try new dishes and plans her travel itinerary around restaurants. She has also recently taken up the hobby of jewelry making as a creative outlet.
Benjamin is a registered veterinary technician who earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Health Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 2017.
A native Southern Californian, Benjamin's career in the veterinary field started in 2010 when he first began volunteering at a small animal practice and animal shelters. He shares his home with two rescue dogs named Boba (a 7-year-old long-haired Chihuahua) and Haku (a 2-year-old poodle) as well as a 6-month-old cat named Yuki. Before joining the Mile Square team, Ben worked in veterinary emergency medicine for 8 years.
During his free time, he likes to take his pets for walks, and they often visit the dog parks. Benjamin's career in the veterinary field started in 2010 when he first began volunteering at a small animal practice and animal shelters.
Prior to becoming a veterinary assistant, Kris gained his experience with many types of animals through working as a dog trainer and manager of a pet resort. He has had many pets and currently has a pitbull, a lab, a catahoula leopard dog and a domestic short hair cat. Outside of work, Chris appreciates comedy shows and is experimenting with doing standup comedy himself. He is also an incredible balloon artist- ask him for one and you’ll be amazed what he can create!
Valerie is a native Texan who recently moved to Southern California. Prior to joining our Mile Square team, she worked as a certified veterinary assistant in Houston.
